Aurélia Durand // France + Denmark
@mutations_illustrations is a French entrepreneur and designer living in Copenhagen. Since leaving Paris and arriving in Copenhagen two years ago, Danish culture has inspired her in many ways. The general love of design, bicycles, sustainable products, and green energy has influenced her work and lifestyle. She creates beautiful illustrations, works with companies to develop their visual identities, and designs sustainable products. Combining her love of bike culture in Copenhagen and her experience with product design, she invented @doubleu.dk, a wooden structure that allows for mobile bike parking - these are convenient for festivals and urban events. This first test was a success! She collaborated with @roskildefestival, one of the biggest festivals in Scandinavia, to use @doubleu.dk for 900 bicycles 🚲🚲🚲 .
We asked Aurélia about a challenge that she has experienced working in her field: "There is a few colored women in the design field in Europe that are successful, so it is going to be a challenge for me. But one thing I can be sure of is that it doesn’t matter who you are if what you do has a purpose and meaning for people."
